Position Summary:

The Field Support Specialist (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career-growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This role is primarily responsible for serving the customer through assessing needs, recommending appropriate products and/or services, performing entry-level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely completion of services.

Successful candidates will learn all aspects of store operations proficiently moving between customer interactions and efficiently completing basic vehicle service tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

Hybrid Role:

• The main emphasis is on providing excellent customer service, driving sales results, and quickly resolving any customer-related issues.
• Tending to fundamental vehicle maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks is crucial, constituting a quarter of the overall service requirements.
• The store will conduct its operations, opening and closing activities, inventory control, and display arrangements based on prevailing needs.

Career advancement and progression through developmental opportunities:

• Possesses the capability to support the Manager or step into the role of Manager-On-Duty as required.
• Acquaint yourself with all facets of store functions and transition smoothly between tasks in the front and back sections of the store.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Meeting the graduation requirements for a high school diploma or a similar qualification.
• A current and legitimate driver's license necessary for lawful driving of a vehicle.
• Customer service in conjunction with a mindset aimed at continuous career enhancement.
• Proficiency in acquiring the necessary skills to handle basic car care responsibilities.
• Competency in utilizing and comprehending store systems efficiently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates can signify the required growth mindset by completing a training program, certification, or other alternative educational options instead of pursuing a 2-year degree.
• Experience in retail sales with a focus on the consumer market.
• Experience in the automotive field is a positive.
• Candidates with a history of management or supervisory roles are desired.
