Position Summary:

The Auto Mechanic plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team. As a vital member, you learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, this role involves hands-on learning to address various automotive systems and services. Automotive Technicians participate in routine inspections, contribute to vehicle assessments, and assist in repair procedures. Additionally, Automotive Technicians may interact with customers to explain repair procedures, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service. Overall, this role demands a combination of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals to build a solid foundation in automotive repair while contributing to the overall success of our team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide oil change services and complete other scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Perform thorough inspections on steering, suspension, and brake components.
• Finalize the battery installation and conduct a detailed assessment of the electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Secure or maintain A.S.E. certifications for at least one of the A1 - A8 areas within the first two years of being hired. The company covers the costs of tests and registrations, and technicians are incentivized with a bonus for each certification they pass

Minimum Qualifications:

• Skill in grasping fundamental mechanical operations.
• A valid automobile driver's license is a requirement for the operation of both company and client vehicles.
• Key concepts in general automotive upkeep and tire service provisions
• Oil change
• Basic inspections
• Repairing tires
• Competency in the domains of reading, writing, and mathematical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment.
• A.S.E certification or comparable external qualifications or training certifications could be considered a standard in the industry.
