Position Summary:

The Equipment Service Specialist (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career-growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This role is primarily responsible for serving the customer through assessing needs, recommending appropriate products and/or services, performing entry-level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely completion of services.

To succeed in this role, candidates must familiarize themselves with all store operations and adeptly switch between engaging with customers and competently executing necessary vehicle service responsibilities as required.

Responsibilities:

Hybrid Role:

• The core duties involve handling customer inquiries, driving sales performance, and resolving customer issues promptly.
• A significant 25% of the maintenance responsibilities for a vehicle pertain to simple service duties such as oil changes, tire inspections, and fluid top-ups.
• Store activities, opening/closing protocols, inventory procedures, and display designs will be tailored to meet specific demands.

Evolving role centered on personal and professional growth:

• Is available to assist the Manager or serve as the Manager-On-Duty when needed.
• Comprehend the entire scope of store operations and be versatile in carrying out responsibilities in both front-end and back-end roles.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Reaching the educational milestones typically associated with high school completion.
• The possession of a valid driver's license as proof of the ability to drive a car.
• Integrating exceptional customer service with a mindset that prioritizes advancing in one's career.
• Competence in learning and performing basic vehicle service duties.
• Skill in operating and managing diverse store operation platforms.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• The growth mindset needed in a candidate can be proven through the completion of a training program, certification, or other non-traditional educational experiences rather than obtaining a 2-year degree.
• Exposure to direct consumer sales in retail settings.
• It is considered beneficial to have previous automotive experience.
• Previous experience in management or supervision is a valuable asset.
