About Smokey Bones:
Smokey Bones is a full-service restaurant delivering great barbecue, award-winning ribs, and good times in 63 locations across 16 states. Smokey Bones serves lunch and dinner and has a full bar featuring a variety of bourbons and whiskeys; a selection of domestic, import, and local craft beers; and signature, handcrafted cocktails. We offer a variety of meats that are slow-smoked, fire-grilled, and available for dine-in, pick-up, online ordering, or catering and delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience
- Helps teammates improve their skills in providing outstanding customer service.
- Guides and mentors coworkers in anticipating, identifying, and tackling issues that impact the quality of the guest experience.
- Coaches colleagues on understanding the relationship between their behaviors and the guest experience, as well as how results reflect the degree of guest service rendered.
- Engages guests in pleasant conversations and requests their feedback.
- Manages and takes care of guest concerns that have been elevated by team members, forwarding them to the General Manager and District Officer as needed
- Aligns with the General Manager and Director to secure the integrity of restaurant amenities in the area, by ensuring concurrence on essential requirements, facilitating effective communication with vendors, and participating in monitoring the repair or upkeep of the building, surrounding landscape, parking zone, equipment, seating arrangements, and technological systems.
Operations Leadership:
- Exhibits the accepted practices and behaviors that restaurant managers and team members are expected to uphold.
- Represents and imparts our beliefs and traditions in a manner that is understandable to others.
- Provides coaching and training to department team members on the implementation of new menu items and modifications to standards
- Constructs timetables for department workers
- Coaches team members on operational best practices, maintenance procedures, and facility maintenance.
- Spurs on fellow team members to boost their productivity
- Provides constructive and positive performance feedback to colleagues; partners with the General Manager/Director to devise appropriate disciplinary actions for team members who are not achieving performance goals.
- Fosters the growth of leadership skills in oneself and colleagues
Financial Performance:
- Develops strategies, communicates them to the General Manager and Management Staff, and evaluates specific goals to achieve the accepted inventory level, departmental sales growth, and customer satisfaction as per Company standards
- Conveys the necessary improvements needed in their department to meet the business plan goals through effective communication
- Evaluates the sales data and trends related to the department to aid in the implementation of sales-boosting programs.
- Demonstrating a proactive approach to learning about profit and loss analyses, forecasting methods, and budget structuring
- Handles a wide array of administrative responsibilities to assist in restaurant operations regarding team members and in alignment with local, state, and federal statutes.
Requirements:
- The perfect candidate needs to exhibit the essential experience and attributes:
- Experience Needed for Kitchen Management (In a full-service restaurant with a full bar)
- Knowledge of computer systems including Excel, Windows, and point-of-sale software is beneficial in various professional settings
- Outcome-oriented, dependable, and committed to teamwork
- The skill to effectively involve and enhance team members through coaching that conforms to our company's policies
- Emphasizing a sincere interest in the hospitality industry while striving to innovate and enhance guest and staff satisfaction is key
- Need to have the capacity to stand for 10 hours and pick up objects weighing 50 pounds.
